The tie bar is 1/4 inch wide and is 2, or 2.5 inches long, depending on what length you select when adding the clip to your cart. The medium 2″ size is shown in the pictures.
The amount of text that will fit depends on the handwriting itself. Writing with long descenders like y, p, g, etc will be much smaller once engraved since we shrink the writing proportionately to fit on the clip. If we have any issues with the writing and how it fits on the clip, we will email you as we work on your tie clip.
Brass and Copper are both metals that can tarnish over time. To slow this tarnish, we coat the tie clips with museum quality wax. The clips are also sent with polish pads to keep the tie clips tarnish free as well.
